“Love, Share” 2014 State Evangelism Conference x 2

florida baptist conventionThe State Evangelism Conference will be held in two locations this year—First Baptist, Daytona Beach, March 24-25; and First Baptist, Bonifay, March 27-28; Speakers include Paige Patterson, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; Bobby Welch, past president, SBC; John Sullivan, Florida Baptist Convention; and a host of dynamic speakers and teachers from across the state. This free conference, a ministry of the Cooperative Program, will offer encouragement and equipping to all Florida Baptist churches.

“Doing Together”- 2014 Cooperative Program Materials at your Doorstep

Because we want to get the Cooperative Program story in as many hands as possible, we are changing things this year. We are initially providing churches with 50 brochures and two posters to share with your congregation. You will notice the smaller size is ideal to place in worship bulletins and Bibles. If you need additional brochures and posters, we will send them at your request.

traction“Replenish Weekend,” Feb. 28-March 1 at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, is a leadership retreat for pastors, wives, staff and ministry leaders to restore and set direction for healthy leadership. The event is designed to address real ministry needs and challenges church leaders face while providing encouragement, experience and perspective for renewal and refocusing in ministry. The weekend will be led by Connie and Lance Witt, former executive and teaching pastor at Saddleback Church and author of “Replenish.”

A missions conference for one and all

florida baptist conventionBoth mission-minded men and women will find inspiration and breakout sessions during the Missional Connection: Celebration of Missions and Ministries which will highlight the Florida Baptist Convention’s wide array of mission endeavors. The meeting is set for April 24-25 at Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center in Leesburg.

A conference helping smaller membership churches become healthier

florida baptist convention“Big God, Small Membership Church” was such a huge hit in 2013, it’s being offered again this year, March 15 at First Baptist Church Bartow. Tommy Green, pastor of First Baptist Church in Brandon is the keynote speaker. Breakout topics include—qualities of a healthy pastor; technology in today’s smaller membership churches, Strengthening churches through volunteer leaders; how vision impacts direction and future; and identifying barriers to growth.

 

Cost is $10 per person before March 6 and $15 per person afterwards and at the door.

Making Memories for a lifetime

“Live Out Loud” Men’s Retreat

florida baptist conventionKeni Thomas, an Army ranger involved in the Black Hawk Down mission; actor Robert Amaya, from the film “Courageous;” the Robbie Seay Band; and the Rhett Walker Band will headline the first Men’s Retreat hosted by Lake Yale Conference Center, March 28-30. The conference with the theme “Live Out Loud” will offer spiritual enrichment, networking, activities, dynamic speakers and evening concerts.

SUPER SUMMER MXP goes to Miami

florida baptist conventionThe Super Summer MXP (Mission Experience) is a week-long mission experience at the Urban Impact Center in Miami for students who have completed grades 6-12. Come join several hundred students in a power-packed week of ministry in a truly international city--without bringing a passport! Mission trips for groups will be customized with a church planter and his new work in SEND Miami. Includes Biblical challenges from Jeff Hessinger, worship led by I-60, specialized evangelism training and evangelistic/missional outreach projects.
